And the winner is...

Congratulations to David Edwards of Austin Texas for winning our drawing for the Polk Audio I-Sonic ES2! We became very fond of the ES2 while using it at the Zadby booth at SXSW Interactive and are quite sad to see it go. We are comforted by the fact that it has found a good home.

Due to all the great feedback from all you Producers out there, we've implemented a few changes to the Polk Audio Commission that you will likely be interested in:

  • The Submission Deadline has been extended through April to give you more time to incorporate the ES2 product into an upcoming shoot
  • The Commission Budget has been expanded from $500 to $2,000
  • The CPM Rate has been raised from $8 to $12.80
  • The length of the Commission has been extended through September to allow more views

Also, for those interested in creating videos for this Commission, a number of I-Sonic ES2s have been set aside for use in upcoming shoots. If you are interested in acquiring one for an upcoming shoot, please send a request to "support @ Zadby.com" (without the spaces) and include "Polk" in the subject line. In your request, please include a link to your online channel or portfolio.

Zadby Goes Live!!!

Welcome to the Beta launch of a cool new concept in the area of Brand Marketing and viral Video Production.

Zadby is an online marketplace where advertisers, marketers, and brand managers can connect with freelance video producers to create innovative product placement videos for distribution through outlets like YouTube and MySpace. Advertisers define what they want in a campaign; video producers shoot the videos; and Zadby facilitates, tracking the views and paying the producer on a per-view basis. It's a low-risk proposition for a brand since it is view based and video producers get bucks for what they are doing anyway.

What's a product placement, you ask? It's a movie, TV show, or computer game where a company has paid for their product to be shown, or "placed". You know the ones I mean: The Ray Bans from Risky Business; the pickup truck given away on Survivor; the phone used in the Mobile Shout-outs in Cash Cab; those red Coca-Cola glasses parked in front of Paula, Randy, and Simon; in each of those cases a company paid to get their product "placed" there.

Product placement was a 4 Billion dollar business in 2007. Don't you want a shot at some of those dollars?

As with any Beta, you're bound to find some rough edges here and there. Over the next few weeks we will continue to roll out content, new features, and bug fixes.

Please take some time to look around the site, sign-up, and upload some videos. If you have any suggestions or find any bugs, please let us know: "bugs @ zadby.com" (without the spaces). Who knows, maybe we'll send you a t-shirt for your troubles.
