Welcome to Zadby, an online marketplace where freelance video producers can connect with you to develop innovative product placement videos for distribution through online outlets like YouTube, AOL, and MySpace.
Campaigns and Commissions
In the Zadby marketplace, we use the term Brand to describe any company, entity, or brand that posts requirements, i.e., Commissions, for freelance video producers to create content to promote their products.
Brands define Campaigns, which are a kind of a holding place under which more detailed Commissions are created. For example, if you're launching a new product, you can define a Campaign around what you'd like to see accomplished within a video or set of videos. You can define an unlimited number of Campaigns.
Under each Campaign are one or more Commissions. Commissions are where the real detailed requirements for the video live. Commissions define the video's goals and objectives, the budget for all videos, payment terms, timelines for the submission, target audience demographics, and any other restrictions or suggestions.
By creating multiple Commissions within a Campaign, you can have one broad Campaign for a product while having Commissions for videos targeting multiple demographics.
Review and Approve
Once the Campaign and Commissions are posted, you sit back and wait for Submissions, i.e. videos produced in response to your posted Commission(s). Zadby's staff can prescreen all the videos to filter out Submissions based on the Commission's requirements, or pass the videos directly to you for approval.
Once the videos have been pre-screened, you can review the Submissions to see which videos best fit your brand. Based on the Submissions, you choose which videos you'd like to use, including selecting multiple videos for the same Commission.
Watch the Results
Approved videos are then tracked by Zadby to monitor the views and calculate fees owed to the Producer. This information is also aggregated and provided to you and the Producer as part of your online dashboard.
The contractual agreements with the video producer are handled by Zadby, freeing you from the complexities of handling multiple small vendors. Every two weeks, Zadby pays the Producer, providing convenient, timely payments. Additionally, Zadby maintains the Producer's IRS related employment and payment information and files the related 1099 forms so you don't have to deal with it.
